I'm currently sitting in Pittsburgh Airport, at my terminal, and I'm the first one here. I'm an hour and a half early for my flight so I figured now would be a good time for my blog post. The first one "officially" on my own. It feels really strange already, even though I'm only in Pittsburgh… BY THE WAY BOTH OF MY CHECKED BAGS WERE UNDER 51 POUNDS (the one was exactly 50…. oops). And to make things even better, my luggage is meeting me right in Pisa when I arrive instead of me having to pick it up and recheck it in London. Which is awesome. I'm hoping that while I'm in here, I'll run into a Steelers player and that would be a great start to my trip. Haven't seen one yet, but I'm on the lookout. I spent my last morning in the United States by stopping in and eating breakfast at Heggy's with my mom. And I picked up my host family a box of Heggy's Chocolates, because who doesn't like that? They're probably currently melting in my suitcase, but I'm sure they'll still taste good. I'm thinking it might be a good idea to go exchange some dollars into euros and maybe a couple of pounds for when I'm in London for a few hours on my layover. Other than that, I've got nothing but a long day of traveling ahead of me. Maybe I can brush up on some of my Italian while I'm waiting.
